Wirral Tennis

Indoor and Outdoor Courts

Two teens playing Tennis

Tennis isn’t just great exercise. Tennis also helps kids develop skills for life, both on and off the court. Players learn responsibility and sportsmanship from a young age. Tennis nurtures work ethic, discipline and enhances mental strength and problem solving skills.

Of all the activities to try, why should you play tennis? It’s more than a great way to stay active.

Many sports are great workouts, but few sports offer the fun AND anaerobic activity that tennis offers. Tennis players are almost constantly in motion, and using nearly every muscle in their body. In addition to short sprints, there are also constant changes of direction, and motion in every possible angle. It builds muscle and stamina. What’s not to love?

The way we see health and fitness has changed in recent years and we are all much more aware of the need to promote and live a healthy lifestyle, physical and mental health are linked and starting off with a positive attitude towards our health by taking better care of both our bodies and our minds is the first step. Positive health is about making your body happy through a healthy, active lifestyle and also maintaining a level of physical fitness which will enable you to manage and enjoy your daily lifestyle.

Good health and fitness is down to what we eat, how we live, how we stay active and what we do to get or stay strong.

Staying active is about how we as people choose to live and how strong and healthy we want to be. We all need a certain amount of the right type of exercise to keep us healthy, regardless of our lifestyle, age or physical ability.

Invigor8 Memberships, like people come in all shapes and sizes, take a look, we are sure you will find one to fit.

Swimming is probably the most popular pastime the world over, and its obvious why. Even if you ignore, and why would you, the fact that learning to swimming can save your life, it’s perfect for every body, whether you are someone who loves a swim and a gossip with friends or a swimmer who prefers to switch off and go for it. You can push yourself as hard or as gently as you like, making it perfect for competitive swimmers and beginners alike. Simply floating in water is a great way to reduce stress and help you relax, escape the daily grind and switch off from the rest of the world. A low impact sport, swimming is easy on the joints, making it suitable for every age and stage of life.

Swimming makes you happy, it releases hormones called endorphins leaving you with a natural buzz.

It’s a great full body workout. In fact, a medium-paced half hour of freestyle swimming burns up to 255 calories.

It’s great all year-round. There’s no need to get cold and wet in order to stay fit during winter. Just nip to your nearest indoor swimming pool and enjoy a workout in the warm, relaxing water.

And lets not forget, it can save your life!

Learning to swim opens the door to a plenty of other exciting water-based sports such as windsurfing, kita surfing, sailing, diving and water-skiing. The list goes on.
